- Black Beans – Make sure the can is well drained and well rinsed.
- Avocado – A perfectly ripe avocado is key to this dish!
- Cilantro – Fresh cilantro packs a lot of flavor.
- Quick pickled red onions – You can of course buy pickled red onions from stores and restaurants but it is really easy to make your own! And don’t worry you can find my recipe for Quick Pickled Onions here.
- Olive Oil – Good quality olive oil is important in this dish, i like to use the brand california olive ranch.
- White Vinegar – A little white vinegar really brings the zing to this dish and offsets the creamy avocado really well. If you don’t want to use white vinegar you could use fresh lime juice instead.
- Kosher or Sea Salt – And of course a little salt for flavor.
