Easy Strawberry Mojito Mocktail Recipe

This seltzer inspired mocktail is super refreshing, low-calorie, with no added sugar. Some might even call this delicious beverage healthy!

I love a good mocktail. Not that I don’t love a good alcoholic drink as well but for me personally it is more the process and relaxation of making a nice drink to sip on rather than the actual alcohol itself.

Now a days there are so many mocktails to choose from and make, everything from a Virgin Cosmopolitan to a Paloma Mocktail to try!

So enters in my favorite beverage of all time, seltzer. I have loved seltzer for ages, even before it was hip and cool I always got myself a pack at the store. Now that it has gone very mainstream I still enjoy it with endless amount of enthusiasm. I find it fun trying different flavors but to me nothing is better than a plain old lime seltzer.

Being such a seltzer enthusiast I have found myself experimenting with them a lot to make fun drinks, not only for me but for my kids as well.

In my personal opinion one of the best ways to enjoy a seltzer is with a little fruit! Now I know that they actually sell it that way now but a seltzer with fresh fruit and ice is so nice (plus you get a little snack at the end).

So in all my time experimenting with seltzers I have made different drinks, like my Hibiscus Iced Tea Sparkler. Today I am sharing with you my version of a Seltzer Strawberry Mojito Mocktail.

What is a traditional Mojito and how is a Mojito Mocktail different?

A traditional Mojito is a rum based drink. With origins back to Cuba the Mojito is one of the more popular rum based drinks and a popular summer drink.

The Mojito Cocktail includes white rum, lime juice, mint, and sugar. The mint leaves are muddled with the sugar and lime juice to release flavors, then ice is added with the rum and soda water.

This Strawberry Mojito Mocktail plays off this original drink but of course includes no alcohol. My healthy version also uses no added sugar!

So instead of sugar strawberries are used to add a sweet flavor! The strawberries, mint, and lime juice are muddled together to release the flavors. Then ice is added and then a lime seltzer is poured overtop.

How to Make Strawberry Mojito Mocktail

This drink couldn’t be any easier. You will need:

  • Strawberries
  • Fresh Mint
  • Limes
  • Lime flavored Seltzer

For this recipe it does help if you happen to have a muddler, traditionally used for cocktails it works nicely in instances like this! Muddlers are pretty fairly priced on Amazon. But no worries if you don’t have a true muddler, you can use the base of a wooden spoon or spatula instead.

To make your mocktail you will simply add the strawberries, mint, and lime juice to a glass and muddle together. Fill the glass with ice. Pour the seltzer overtop. Stir and garnish with more strawberries, mint, and lime slices.

And there you have it! A perfectly refreshing Strawberry Mojito Mocktail, perfect for sipping on a hot summers day!

Prep Time 3 minutes
Total Time 3 minutes

Ingredients

  • 3 strawberries, hulled and quartered
  • 16 mint leaves (about 4 springs)
  • 1 lime
  • 1 lime flavored seltzer

Instructions

    1. Add the strawberries and mint to a glass and muddle together. Add the juice of the lime to the glass. Fill the glass with ice. Pour the seltzer overtop. Stir and garnish with more strawberries, mint, and lime slices.

Notes

For garnishing you will want more of everything on the ingredient listed above. For example extra strawberry, a few leaves, and a few slices of lime of the top are a nice touch.
