Cottage Cheese Pizza Dip
Another win and great way to use cottage cheese. After my Cottage Cheese Ice Cream and Cottage Cheese Queso Dip I thought I had really done it all…. until this Cottage Cheese Pizza Dip.
I saw someone make a cottage cheese pizza bowl recipe on social media, and I thought it was a brilliant idea but I wanted it bigger and better, turning it from a single serving cottage cheese bowl to to a full on cottage cheese pizza dip.
(Although I found it is easy enough to reheat if you are just making it for yourself, have a single serving today and save for the rest for a serving tomorrow.)
This delicious dip is full of creamy cottage cheese, layered with sauce, mozzarella, and toppings like pepperoni. It is a great snack for the family and even better for events with friends like game day and parties.
The beauty of this recipe is that you can make it the delicious flavors you love by adding your favorite pizza toppings. You can start with pepperoni of course but feel free to add extra italian seasoning blend, green bell peppers, black olives, heck you could even add ham and pineapple if that is what you love.
Ingredients
- Cottage Cheese – I prefer the taste and flavor of a full fat cottage cheese but you can use either full fat cottage cheese or low-fat cottage cheese in this recipe.
- Mozzarella Cheese – The mozzarella cheese makes a great cheesy and stringy dip.
- Marinara Sauce – I like marinara sauce in this dip for the flavor but you can easily use a cup pizza sauce as well, you could even make your own 5 Minute Pizza Sauce.
- Mini Pepperoni – Okay so it doesn’t have to be mini pepperoni (although it is so much fun), feel free to use regular or turkey pepperoni.
- Italian Seasoning – Most stores will have an option of an Italian Seasoning you can buy, or you can also make some Homemade Italian Seasoning.

Instructions
Preheat Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400º F to ensure it’s nice and hot for baking.
Blend Cottage Cheese: Using either an immersion blender or a stand blender, blend the cottage cheese until it reaches a smooth consistency. Add the Italian seasoning and blend until fully incorporated.
Prepare Casserole Dish: Transfer the smooth blended cottage cheese into a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. Spread the creamy cottage cheese mixture evenly along the bottom to create a solid base for your dip.
Add Marinara Sauce: Spoon the marinara sauce over the cottage cheese layer, ensuring it covers the entire surface. Use the back of a spoon to gently spread the sauce evenly.
Top with Cheese and Pepperoni: Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the marinara sauce. Then, generously scatter the mini pepperoni on top of the shredded mozzarella cheese.
Bake: Carefully transfer the casserole dish to the preheated oven and bake for approximately 15 minutes, or until the cheese melts and edges of the hot pizza dip are bubbly.
Rest and Serve: Once baked to perfection, remove the dip from the oven and let it rest for about 3 minutes. Serve with your favorite dippers, such as tortilla chips or crisp veggies, and get ready to dive in!
